 
I asked in a previous Journal that every Emoticonist should write a comment there. I sent notes to all of those who commented there and asked them a couple of questions.
And now I am going to feature all of this deviants and their answers

What is your first reaction when you find a new Emoticonist?
My first reaction when i find a new emoticonist? Pride in the community for pulling another one in

Gotta be Lushbob as one. I mean, he was the reason I got into emoting 'n' all that, plus a really great friend who's helped out so much and always been there. Not QUITE sure why he still listens to me..

I check out their gallery and more often than not follow them.

This one is really hard to answer since I'm new and have been going through the galleries of so many amazing Emoticonists lately and everyone has been so great. So no favorites for me yet, I just love the overall community

I love all the different projects and they way they bring the community together.
More random acts of kindness. Don't wait for a project to show appreciation for your favorite Emoticonist, just creating something for them out of the blue.

) I'd love to see more elaborate emote pieces with pixeled backgrounds. As for what I would like to see less of, nothing really (still baring miscats because they are out of control), I pretty much love everything I see lol.

I'm sure you're going to do a great job, just focus on keeping the community active.
If you are new to the Emoticon community: Do you feel welcomed? What could be done to make new emoticonists feel welcomed?
I have felt extremely welcome in my first month in the community. In fact, it already feels like I've been a part of it for some time. In most communities, newbies feel like outsiders for a while but here I felt like a part of things immediately.

wisekidk was very talented and made amazing stuff (And was a fellow GIMP user!), shame she left.
ROBlNHOOD was also very talented and... I'm repeating myself.

Cmotes was very talented and made very good emotes and was amazing etc...
Krissi001 is perhaps the most dedicated to the community emoticonist I have ever seen.

Get in WeEmote and talk. Talk outside of there too. TALK DAMMIT. (I admit I'm not a good role model for the whole talking thing)

If you haven't been really active in the community, what could be done that you get more active again?
I just lost motivation for making emotes. I don't know what'd give me that motivation back. If you are new to the Emoticon community: Do you feel welcomed? What could be done to make new emoticonists feel welcomed?
A new emoticonist wants to be well known. The fit in with the 'popular' emoticonists. When I was new I saw the popular emoticonists and wanted to be like them, as good as them. Pageviews and +favs are nice but comments in particular are special.

I add them to my watchlist.
Is there anything that you want to say to the whole Emoticon community?
Don't let anybody tell you that you aren't awesome, because all of you are fucking awesome.
And create more Emotes.
And If you have a twitter account you should follow #dAemotes, most of the Emoticon related things will get featured there
Oh and if you find an awesome Emote (that is DD worthy in your eyes) don't be afraid to suggest it to the next Emoticon CV, he/she will appreciate it! But make sure that the deviant didn't receive a DD within the last 6 months ;D
If you have problems with the personality or the attitude of somebody, don't let it influence your view on their art and their support for the community! Support their efforts in the community, it is your community after all and everybody who tries to keep the community alive has to get the support of all Emoticonists, even if you might don't like them.

We should feature each other more! And I don't just mean to feature Emoticons, I mean Contests /Projects /news Articles. There will be always deviants/Emoticonists who don't watch all of the Emoticonists and they will miss those Events if they are watching Emoticonists who don't feature those things.

Don't feel obligated to feature something just because tons of people suggested it, just feature it if you are 100% sure that it's an awesome piece.
And if you feature something that has been suggested by many deviants, don't feel obligated to put all of the deviants in the description. Just send a note to the deviant who received the DD and tell him/her who suggested it and what they have written.

What did you like and what didn't you like in the time when I was the Community Volunteer?
I didn't like that I separated myself from the Community, it feels like that I was closer to the community before I was a CV. But that's probably because of the tons of new Emoticonists that appeared within the last 15 months, I just hadn't the time to talk to them. And maybe I didn't want to look like that I would just feature my friends xD.
I should have written more Comments/Critiques in my time as Volunteer, that could have helped to get closer to the Community.
