Especially thanks to those who created extra pieces for the Project, love you guys <3silverhammer and I visited the Miniature Wonderland in Hamburg last year, it was so awesome! We sadly just had about an hour to try to see everything and we took more than 100 photos. We plan to go there again, with a better camera and more time! We also went to a ballet performance with silverhammer's mother on Christmas. It was in Baden-baden, "Giselle" by Mariinsky Ballet. It was really great, which I absolutely didn't expected We celebrated New Year's Eve alone for the first time, we made some nice drinks with the rum that silverhammer received for christmas That's all for now Have a nice year!

trip to switzerlandHai! It's been a while since I have been active here, i hope you still know me Well, anyway, 2 weeks ago silverhammer and I went to Switzerland, not for fun, it was because of the new job from silverhammer We had to deliver furniture to a few customers throughout Switzerland. Here you can see a map of where we had to stop. See the stars? There were ups and downs but we managed the trip and it brought us even closer together. We also had to stay in a hotel in Thusis, the last customer of that day guided us there. Because it was too late and silverhammer way too tired to drive another hour or two to the hotel in St.Moritz where we originally should have stayed. Here are some photos of the trip :D These are only photos of day 2

Go for it - Protect Your ArtHey guys, how are you? It's been a while since my last "Go for it" Article. This time I'm bringing you something different. This time it's not about Photoshop; this time it's about protecting your work.More and more artists are facing situations such as stolen works, unauthorize use, ripping, etc. We, as artists, are always trying to protect our work but, sometimes nothing seems enough. For you to fully protect your work it's always adviced that you register and copyright your work, either it's paintings, photographies, digital art, literature, websites, blogs, etc.So, what is ©Copyright? In a general way, "Copyright is a form of intellectual property which gives the creator of an original work exclusive rights for a certain time period in relation to that work, including its publication, distribution and adaptation; after which time the work is said to enter the public domain. Copyright applies to any expressible form of an idea or information that is substanti
Amazing Unknown ArtworksDeviantArt is a place full of amazing artists and artworks.Unfortunately, some of them are almost unknown and really deserve more recognition. I've decided to feature some of my faves in this article, all of them are almost unknown (most of them only have under 100 faves, they are all under 500 faves).Digital Art :thumb87562534: :thumb64546452: Fantasy Island by peterconcept 'Jezebel' by Energetic-Innovation Huldra by Sussi1 :thumb444
The Composition of my thoughtsWell, I thought I'll sum up some pointers and tips regarding composition. I used some of my photos as examples in the different topics. I hope I can help, or even refresh, some of you photographers out there. If you have anymore ideas to share here, please do.What would you say is the most important thing in a good photograph?Colors? Idea and expression? Sharpness? Perspective? Well, since there are no "right and wrong" (just opinions) everyone is right, but in my book, one of the most important thing is definitely composition. It's the same in almost every art form, but since in photography you don't always have time to plan the situation in details, composition becomes a very important skill in your decision making.I never learned photography in the "old fashion" way of school or teachers, and my composition skills have developed by my own sense of intuitive point of view. It's only later that I diagnosed the decision making I made without thinking about it.I want to shar
Not out of the woods: A silent epidemic persistsAs many of you know, I have struggled with lyme disease for a long time, having been in remission from chronic late stage Lyme and recently relapsing. I have decided at long last to make a concerted effort to spread the word about the disease in the best way I know how: bitching online!I'm going to give you the skinny on this nasty bug, as well as point you in the direction of more thorough, official information on the topic should you wish to learn more.Lyme was only discovered in 1975 and was named for Lyme, Connecticut where a cluster outbreak was found and the disease is said to have "been discovered." The truth of the matter is that it's likely some form of Lyme disease (or Borreliosis as it is scientifically known) has existed for some time. It is in the same family of bacteria as syphilis, known as spirochetes and identifiable by their corkscrew shape. This cute little slinky of a microbe can be deadly, in part due to its screw-like form which renders it skilled at tunneling i

Finding your style in photographyLast week I did a poll on what subject you would be most interested to hear my opinion about. The majority wanted to know on "Finding your own style" (http://gilad.deviantart.com/journal/poll/264778/). Here are some pointers on that. General thoughts Photography has been here for a very long time. Every category in photography already been tried, most places have been photographed, portraits have been done, special techniques, weather... So what do we still find exiting and unique? The answer is not in "what's being said", rather in "the way we say it". It's not the subject of the photo, rather the way we take it, show it, make our own definition of it. If you group 20 photographers in one scene, all having the same cameras, you will still get many different photos. On the other hand, you can tell which photo is who's just by looking at a photo - recognize the style. I have to say that finding your style is not a process you are aware to. It happens while doing photogra
