New Chat Event + More NewsChat Event
I've just finished organising the basics with BlissfullySarcastic for the next emote chat event. It has been scheduled for:
Saturday 6th April
9pm BST (UK time) / 4pm EDT (Eastern)

We have 3 fun events lined up with a few new twists, so t should be good fun. If you want to help us out and donate a prize for the event, check out this poll. Any sort of prizes (features, points, art donations etc) are welcome.
We would also appreciate if you could help spread the word about the event to let the community know. We are aware it is kinda short notice, but hopefully people can still attend/.

Rainbows
So, my life is kinda sucky right now. Family stuff, struggling to get moved and completely settled, having no time for me, etc.....yeah, kinda of a dark patch for me. I need some happy stuff for my eyeballs. And well.....April showers bring May flowers....and also rainbows.Rainbows make me happy.
The colors are vibrant and shiny..and sometimes sparkly...
You get the idea. Whether your emote is riding a rainbow-haired beast, puking the colors, eating colorful breakfast cereal....as long as there is a rainbow of colors in your piece, it will fit. Amuse me, plz.

The focus of this journal is to provide a discussion platform about the Gallery Makeover Project for the emote community. This is not the official journal for the emote community, but in the absence of one, does allow us to talk about possible changes. All thoughts and opinions will then be available for the the official Gallery Makeover team to hear the community's views and make final decisions.
Before we dive into the list of suggestions we have so far, I want to give a brief explanation of the project's aims. The main purpose is to simplify the gallery structure by removing and merging categories that are no longer used by the community. It also includes also renaming categories to help reduce confusion and make the whole submission process easier for all.

As you might have noticed, our group has been really quiet in the past months. This is mostly because many of our admins have resigned from their duties (we still have few awesome admins, not to take anything away from them). This idea certainly has creativity and uniqueness as one of, if not it's most abundant trait. The animation is also smooth, and the shading of the emote works well when it works it's special skill.

Jumping HejMote by VlKlNGEN, submitted on November 8, 2010.
The animation physics is astounding in this piece, with a nice fluid framerate and blob-like properties of the emote. The change in expression of the emote as it hits the floor and how the hat has it's own separate drop are more nice touches put into this emote.
