I asked in a previous Journal that every Emoticonist should write a comment there.
You can still do it on this Journal if you haven't commented yet.
I sent notes to all of those who commented there and asked them a couple of questions.
And now I am going to feature all of this deviants and their answers :dummy:
If you saw that I have featured you and i didn't include all of your answers/or any answers, you could write a Journal and include all of your answers there. ;D

What is your first reaction when you find a new Emoticonist?
Yay~! New person to stalk meet!

Pick 5 of your most favourite Emoticonists and describe why they are special to you, what makes them stand out from the others?
Indae - Even though she's more well known, I still love her emotes. They're just so adorable. :aww:

Nee-to - While their emote style is unique, I also think that they're an awesome person. :D

OnionBlaze - I honestly think that he's improved greatly in emoticons during his first few months. I would say he's the best beginner emoticonist I've seen in a while.

Mirz123 - She has a lot of talent. I especially love her pixel art.

Scorpion81 - I believe we both watched each other around the same time, haha. His pixelling skills have also improved greatly.

Is there anything that you want to say to the whole Emoticon community?
Keep up the good work everyone! :la:

How could we strengthen the connection within the Emoticon community?
We could do more projects/contests...

What kind of things do you want to see less / more in the Emoticon Gallery?  (miscats excluded :stare:)
I would personally like to see more emote avatars. I just find them cute~ ^-^

Do you have any words of encouragement for the next Emoticon Community Volunteer? Anything that, you think that, could be important for the next CV?
Sometimes there's a lot of drama, don't let it get to you... :shifty:

What is your first reaction when you find a new Emoticonist?
I feel happy when I find a new emoticonist :D I like to see the emote community grow!

Pick 5 of your most favourite Emoticonists and describe why they are special to you, what makes them stand out from the others?
happy-gurl - She is such an inspiration to me. We both started emoting at the same time and we supported each other and are now such good friends  She is my favorite static emoticonist! She has improved so much since she started emoting and I look forward to see what else she'll create.

Mirz123 - Where do I start with Mirz? She is amazing! She has done so much for the emote community and she is so encouraging and helpful! Her emotes are always inspiring to me and I love all the endless ideas she comes up with them. She reaches out to others and tries her very best to make the emote community an even better place!

Web5teR - His emotes are gorgeous! The amount of detail and effort he puts into them is astounding. My mind is blown away with each new piece he comes up with!

SparklyDest - She is a wonderful deviant to get to know and she is so positive. I love how she puts together her EMTC and gets emoticonists to get together to create art!

EternalxRequiem - She is also pretty new to the emoticon community, but she is already creating great emotes! She is also so sweet and supportive of others in the community. She is also very helpful and so kind to deviants!

Is there anything that you want to say to the whole Emoticon community?
Hey there, emote community :eyes: I want to thank you guys for all the fun times I've had so far & I look forward to whatever you bring! And I cheer for you because I feel so happy being a part of it!

How could we strengthen the connection within the Emoticon community?
To help strengthen the emote community, I suggest we host more events that would have lots of us come together and discuss ideas & to get to know each other better!

What kind of things do you want to see less / more in the Emoticon Gallery?  (miscats excluded :stare:)
I definitely want to see more projects, ones where lots of emoticonists can come together & participate

Do you have any words of encouragement for the next Emoticon Community Volunteer? Anything that, you think that, could be important for the next CV?
I would love to wish them good luck :eager: I know you will do a wonderful job! And I look forward to what you bring to the emote community!

What did you like and what didn't you like in the time when I was the Community Volunteer?
I really loved everything you did for the community  Featuring deviants, making cool projects, hosting contests...You have been an amazing CV! I think the only thing I disliked was that I wished you featured more emote DDs  Though, the ones you have given out have been fun and diverse!

If you are new to the Emoticon community:  Do you feel welcomed?  What could be done to make new emoticonists feel welcomed?
I feel very welcome in the emote community :happybounce: The emote community is so supportive and helpful & I'm glad to be a part of it. As for what can be done to make newcomers more welcome, I'd say the community should try to reach out even more to newcomers, I suppose

If you have created a couple Emoticons, but then stopped creating them:  What was the reason that you  stopped to create Emoticons? What could be done that you start to create them again?
I think the only reason I have stopped a few emotes if because I feel that I don't have the required skills to make it what I want it to be. For me to go back and attempt it again, I would have to practice more and and edge slowly out of my comfort zone.

What is your first reaction when you find a new Emoticonist?
Well I usually , "I remember when I was starting out, and I sucked. Except they're better than me when I started." And then I check out their gallery and journals to see if I like them or not. :) Usually if I see that they are friendly and exciting, I watch them. Some of those people become some of my closest friends on here, which is always nice. :aww:

Pick 5 of your most favourite Emoticonists and describe why they are special to you, what makes them stand out from the others?
Phlum - First of all he's a great all around type person. He makes great emoticons, knows how to make people laugh, is good at Mario Kart (;)) and in general is almost like a leader here in the emoticon community. He's a great guy to hang around with too. :)

SparklyDest - She is like one of the QUEENS of emoticons, she's always so helpful and full of spirit, and she's a lovely person. When I first started out many people said to go and talk to SparklyDest. I can see why, she clearly is one of the queens of the emoticon community, with her lovely contests and awesome octopuses. She rocks.

Mirz123 - Like SparklyDest she is one of the queens of emoticons. She's had so many stressful situations throughout the past year, and she still manages to make stamps and make me smile. She helped through some bad times, and I hope my support has helped her through her bad times too. She's an overall great person, and she should not be hated!

Dead-Deviant - He might be new, but as many people would have suggested, he's awesome. From the beginning, he's been like a bro to me, a friend in many ways, an idea man, a random person, etc. He's awesome. He's probably one of the most known newcomers of the century (or decade.) He rocks, and he should keep on rocking. :)

Krissi001 - You are so spirited and full of fun, and I hope you still host contests and more. You have done so much for this community that its too much to list! The contests, the projects, the groups, oh my! Your emoticonist page was a great idea, and I love seeing that wall of OCs you have there. I don't think anybody will be able to replace your shoes, and I hope you still act the way you do.

Is there anything that you want to say to the whole Emoticon community?
You guys are awesome. Don't you forget it. Seriously. :shifty: I hope none of you die ever.

How could we strengthen the connection within the Emoticon community?
I think we could bring the community together with more projects and contests, more collabs and mash-ups, and less fights between emoticonists.

What kind of things do you want to see less / more in the Emoticon Gallery?  (miscats excluded :stare:)
I would like to see less fighting, less misunderstanding, and in general less hate. I see people all the time hate other people because of a misunderstanding or because of some judgemental reason due to a contest or what they say in a journal. I really wish it could stop, but I don't control that.

What did you like and what didn't you like in the time when I was the Community Volunteer?
To be honest, for me, you did everything perfectly. You had such great contests, projects, groups, and ideas. Your community spirit was through the roof (of an 8 story building) and more importantly you liked what you were doing and the fun you were having transferred to us. You had no flaws, and that's a fact! ;)

If you have created a couple Emoticons, but then stopped creating them:  What was the reason that you  stopped to create Emoticons? What could be done that you start to create them again?
If I ever stop, its usually due to homework from high school, drama (never dArama thank god), or just the plain disinterest  in it. :( But, when I usually start back up again, its because I'm inspired by another emoticon. :)

What is your first reaction when you find a new Emoticonist?
I take note and follow them closely :shifty: But I don't really watch until they have a few emotes in their gallery.

Pick 5 of your most favourite Emoticonists and describe why they are special to you, what makes them stand out from the others?
LeoLeonardo - The first emoticonist who got me hooked on emoticons, when I stumbled on his page

Seiorai - My inspiration, a truly awesome emoticonist. The way she does her emoticons and backgrounds are just

Mirz123 - Just awesome :la:

Krissi001 - The first Emoticon CV I met ;D

Quolia - She was the one who I started out with, and I value her support more than most

Is there anything that you want to say to the whole Emoticon community?
I'd just like to say that, even though it's been rough lately, don't give up :iconanimefaceplz: We are just like one big family (:shifty:) and like all families, we fight and bicker. There is no perfect community, we can just try to make it the most fun community in dA :iconlawooplz:

How could we strengthen the connection within the Emoticon community?
How about monthly/fortnightly/weekly critique/chat nights? :happybounce:

What kind of things do you want to see less / more in the Emoticon Gallery?  (miscats excluded :stare:)
moar projects :dummy:

Do you have any words of encouragement for the next Emoticon Community Volunteer? Anything that, you think that, could be important for the next CV?
I think it is important for the CV to comment frequently on emotes, especially the newer emoticonists, because they might think that they can't talk to you because they are shy (I know I was :shifty:)

Quolia, happy-gurl, Nee-to, Sailor-Pikmin and TimmehMonster. They're my first emoticonist friends. :giggle:

Is there anything that you want to say to the whole Emoticon community?
I LUFF YOU ALL

How could we strengthen the connection within the Emoticon community?
Um... chat events?

Good luck! :la:

If you are new to the Emoticon community:  Do you feel welcomed?  What could be done to make new emoticonists feel welcomed?
