Critique this: Emoticons (1)

Sun Apr 15, 2012, 4:54 AM
Welcome to the first edition of "Critique this: Emoticons".
In this Article series I want to give deviants some spotlight who want to receive  constructive critiques on their Emotes.   In each edition I am presenting you a couple of Emoticons and I am asking you to write Critiques for them. You don't have to be a Premium Member to receive a critique, the critique can be written in a comment.  You don't have to be a premium member to use the Critique system since everybody can use it now :D, but you don't have to use it!   And you don't have to be an Emoticonist to write a critique, you  just have to be able to point out flaws and give tips how to improve them (in a polite way of course).

The deviants who are willing to write Critiques have 1 month to write it (until the next article will be published).
As soon as all critiques have been written, the deviant who requested the critique should try to create a new/improved version of the Emote based on the critiques. In each article you can also ask for critiques (for up to 2 Emotes), but the Emotes can't be older than 2 months, these Emotes will be featured in the next Critique this Article.

Crit-points
I had the idea of special Credit points, called "Crit-points". :slow:  Each deviant who writes a constructive critique and deviants who are willing to create a new version of their Emote will receive crit-points and as soon as they earned enough crit-points they can exchange them for something. This way I hope that neither of them feels that they've wasted time on writing critiques or improving the Emote.
The Critic can get up to 3 Crit-points for each of their constructive Critiques (for the Emotes on the "Critique this" Articles not for other Critiques), I will decide (with the help of the deviant who received the critique) if the critique was helpful/constructive.
The deviant who received the Critique can get up to 6 Crit-points for the updated Emoticon. I will decide how many Crit-points they get, based on how much they improved the Emoticon.

Now you might think "and what do we get for Crit-points? D: ".   I am not sure of the amount of Crit-points that are needed to get something. I don't that want that you discouraged because the amount is too high, but I also don't want that it's "too easy" to get something.    Here is what I thought about how many crit-points are needed, it needs some refining of course. I would be really happy if you could donate some prizes, you can decide how many Crit-points are needed to get it.

15 Crit-points -  Feature on the profile page of `Krissi001
30 Crit-points  -  static-icon from `Krissi001
50 Crit-points  -  animated-icon from `Krissi001
60 Crit-points - Poll Takeover (publish a poll on my page) `Krissi001
70 Crit-points  -  Muro drawing on their Page from `Krissi001
90 Crit-points  -  Emoticon request from `Krissi001
105 Crit-points -  Combination of  "Feature on profile Page", "static icon request" and "Muro drawing" from `Krissi001
120 Crit-points - Journal Feature from `Krissi001
145 Crit-points - Journal Takeover (Publish a Journal on my page) from `Krissi001

What do you think of the amount of points that are needed?  Any suggestions for other prizes? :eager:

The Critique Requests
Let's come to the most important part of this Article, the critique requests.
Here I present you the Emoticons for which the Creator has requested to receive Critiques.
If you want you can write a Critique for each of the Emotes.

do you want a critique?
Comment on this Article if you want a Critique for one of your Emotes (for up to 2 Emotes), but the Emotes can't be older than 2 months, these Emotes will be featured in the next Critique this Article.

I really like the concept of this article so I hope the community supports it. I've certainly been encouraged to write critiques and now finished them for each emote. Lets hope others will do the same :)

I love this idea, I enjoy giving constructive comments / crits but never know who to
If we write a crit, do you search the emote for who has, or do people have to let you know? :B
